  Yes, I also think this is much needed. And please keep it consistent across pages. For example, right now, Quicktime (zip) download link is in different place on each page. I think it would be great to do a quick patch now, so we have consistent order of formats on all pages, keeping the most common formats on top, since they're most likely to be available on each page. For example:

  1. Quicktime (zip)
  2. Code (zip)
  3. iPod
  4. ...

  And this can be done now, as it doesn't require any change in the layout or design. Just some consistency in the ordering of download links.

  Thanks for the feedback. We reorganized it a year ago but need to revisit now that we are publishing in more formats and on more mirrors around the world.
